Kapiti College

Alloyfold helped Kāpiti College enhance its multipurpose hall with a custom-designed Axor™ Retractable Seating System with Victory Classic Stadium Seats.

The college needed a flexible seating solution for their renovated hall.

After site assessments and discussions, Alloyfold designed a system to provide 284 seats, which can be easily extended or retracted, allowing the space to be used for various events.

The rear-mounted Victory seats are a key feature, staying open when the retractable system is in use. These seats feature a soft-close operation, which provides a smooth, quiet closure, ensuring a more refined and user-friendly experience. They do not open or close automatically with the system, offering manual control for convenience during event setups. The seats are made from durable aluminum and feature a quiet, damped tip-up mechanism for easy storage.

Alloyfold also accommodated specific requests, including increasing the gap behind the top rows for improved sightlines, and provided sleek black seating to match the college’s aesthetic.

With the system installed, Kāpiti College now has a versatile, high-capacity space for assemblies, performances, and other activities, with ongoing support and maintenance ensuring its long-term functionality.
